Key Personnel
Glenn Marshall - Vice President - Operations
Glenn Marshall began his career in 1970 as an Officer in the
U.S. Army, where he served until 1982. His responsibilities
included a number of administrative and executive functions in
military medical units, including as Commander of a 400-bed
evacuation hospital. In 1982, he joined the United Services Life
Insurance Company as leader of the Methods section. He was promoted
to Second Vice President and then to Vice President. While at USLICO
Glenn had enterprise wide responsibility of integration,
standards definition and application design for microcomputer
based product illustrations at the point of sale.
Glenn was project lead for downsizing of
redundant marketing organizations following the corporate merger
of ReliaStar and United Services Life. Glenn joined KSJ & Associates in 2003,
providing project management for an E-Gov award winning team’s
implementation of a standards based, enterprise wide, fully
meshed Virtual Private Network.
Mr. Marshall joined Fasano Associates in
2005 as Vice President, Operations. Mr. Glenn Marshall is a member of the
Healthcare Information and Management Systems Society, and the
Institute of Electrical and Electronics Engineers. He holds a
MSBA from Boston University, BS from the College of William and
Mary. He holds CLU and FLMI designations.
Al Mayer - Vice President - Underwriting
Al has a B.S. in Business
Administration from St. Joseph’s University. He also holds the
FLMI, CLU and FALU designations. Al began his underwriting
career in 1972 at The Home Life Insurance Company of America.
In 1977, he joined INA Life Insurance Company as Senior
Underwriter. In 1980, he was hired by Illinois Mutual Life and
Casualty Company as Manager, Underwriting, and was promoted to
Assistant Vice President, Underwriting in 1986. In 1991, he
took a position with Banner Life Insurance Company as Director,
Underwriting. He was subsequently promoted to Assistant Vice
President, Underwriting, in 1998 and then to Vice President,
Underwriting in 1999. In 2005, he joined Fasano Associates as
Vice President, Underwriting.
David A. Vaughn, MD, FACP - Vice President & Medical Director
Dr. Vaughan began his career in 1976 specializing in
internal medicine in private practice. in 1984, Dr. Vaughan
accepted the position of Associate Medical Director with
First Colony Life Insurance Company. In 1989, he was
promoted to Vice President and Medical Director, and served
in this capacity until 1999. Dr. vaughan served as Consulting Medical
Director at Jefferson Pilot Life Insurance Company from 1999 to 2000.
He joined Fasano Associates in 2000.
Dr. Vaughan has had extensive experience in the medical
underwriting of settlement annuities and substandard life cases.
He has also reviewed contestable death claims, accelerated death
benefit claims, and waiver of premium claims.
Dr. Vaughan received his undergraduate degree from Virginia
Tech in 1970 and his doctor of medicine from the Medical College
of Virginia in 1973. He is board certified in both internal
medicine and insurance medicine, and is a member of the American
Academy of Insurance Medicine, the American College of
Physicians and the American Medical Association.
